Genrus United is a health buying group for non-insured prescription customers at retail pharmacies
We are not run by pharmaceutical manufacturers or big-box pharmacies. Started in Atlantic Canada, we are a new, small, independent Canadian company with a shared vision: affordable access to essential medications, better health for all Canadians, and less stress on our public health care system.
Evidence shows that many Canadians who should take prescription drugs simply don’t have enough money to pay for them. Instead they are choosing to split pills, skip dosages or share medications, putting them at risk of poorer health.
Our founders are a diverse group of Atlantic Canadians who have seen first-hand the impact of high prescription costs on families finding it difficult to afford their health. There are media reports every week clearly stating that “Canada needs to do something about prescription drug costs.” Our founders cared enough to do something about it, and Genrus United was created to be that solution.
Today, we’ve taken our collective experience and optimized prices from manufacturers, wholesalers and pharmacies, and we’re passing these savings on to the millions of Canadians who do not have insurance or a government drug program.
“We are delighted to provide a new option for non-insured Canadians to regain control of their health.”
“It’s really about helping Canadians live better lives. We need to do this now. Genrus United is going to help.”
“The balance of power needs to be reset to the advantage of regular Canadians who need prescription medications.”
“There hasn’t been any forward action to provide Canadians with affordable prescription drugs. It’s time for a real disruption, and doing what others only talk about.”
